Your hands and elbows can deliver tremendous amount of destructive force. When fists are formed properly and the blow delivered with the correct technique, a Chinese Goju student's hands are formidable weapons. Elbows are also destructive weapons. However, the hands and elbows are useless unless the student understands the logical and necessary techniques. It is necessary for the student to understand that simply punching or elbowing a target is not enough. One must understand that the force behind the delivery of punches and elbows stem from proper stance, breathing, and body coordination.
Many beginner fighters have misconceptions of these techniques and often injure themselves as a result. Chinese Goju students are trained with the proper techniques and concepts for maximum effectiveness without injuring themselves.
