Advancement and Testing
After hard training, it is expected for students to be evaluated through a system of rigorous testing. Students are expected to demonstrate knowledge of their rank, as well as a familiarity of the expectations and responsibilities of their next rank. Each test candidate will be expected to know the following:
- Basic Form Techniques
- Self Defense
- Kata
- Combination Techniques
- One-Step Attacks
- Fighting Techniques
- Breaking Techniques
Other expectations are required to be met by the student. These expectations are provided to the student on an individual basis. Promotional testing is a public event and all are welcome to attend. Visitors during testing are requested to be respectful of the test candidates and the dojo's practices and rules of conduct. Directions to our school is provided for your convenience.
